The Northamptonshire County Standard
Our County Standard was dedicated on World Thinking Day February 22nd 1981. It was produced by the Arts Committee to replace the obsolete 1937 standard.
The Trefoil is in the place of honour nearest the hoist, next is the Tudor Rose (Northamptonshire’s County Seal since 1665), followed by the Guide motto “Be Prepared”.
Each of the eleven divisions designed and embroidered a representative lozenge as follows.
